Danish Blue is a semi-soft blue-veined cow's milk cheese produced in Denmark. It has a creamy and crumbly texture. Aged for eight to twelve months, it gradually matures with a yellowish edible rind. It's sharp and salty in taste with 25-30% fat.
Also known as Danablu, this wonderfully creamy blue cheese is not as pungent as Roquefort, which means it's a crowd-pleasing addition to a cheese board. Danish Blue pairs well with fruits like pears and apple, and salads, or crumbled over a pasta sauce.
